Suvheer Sooganchand is an experienced C-suite financial services executive, having worked at some of the biggest banking institutions in the World, Europe, and Africa, namely Deutsche Bank AG, Barclays Africa Group, and Standard Bank Group. His expertise lies in Retail, Corporate and Investment Banking, and other financial services. His experience includes risk management, strategic balance sheet management, business strategy and strategic planning, regulatory affairs, doing business in emerging economies, and corporate governance and stakeholder management.

Founder of the Meraki Advisory and Development Group which was started to provide strategic, transformational, and technical advice to help Banking Institutions across Africa grow their business ensuring that they stay ahead of key financial and non financial risks, be prepared for regulatory changes and ensuring their balance sheets are optimised from a risk return perspective. He is passionate about learning and development in the Financial Sector which is a core function of the development arm.

A South African national, he holds a Bachelor of Business Science qualification majoring in Actuarial Science and is a Global Association of Risk Professionals FRM holder. He is a certified financial market practitioner holding a dealing certificate issued by Association Cambiste Internationale in France in addition to be a South African Institute of Financial Markets Registered Persons.
